Total Market Performance: This year on 7/10, there was an overall sales lift of 10.7% across US markets and 7.3% in Canada when comparing the Monday holiday to a typical Monday. In the US, the average discount spiked by 30.7%, from 18% to 23.5%. The average discount in Canada had no noticeable difference.
Category Performance: In the US, Concentrates (+79.3%) and Vapor Pens (+14.3%) saw the biggest sales increase though every category saw some positive change. These two categories were the most heavily discounted with an average discount of 34.3% and 26.4% respectively. In Canada, despite having the highest average discount of any product category, concentrates, only saw a sales lift of 6.3% the third lowest among all categories. It was the wellness product lines such as Tincture, Topicals, Capsules, Oils, that saw the greatest spike in sales, though all categories saw an increase.
