Both US and Canadian consumers seemed to incorporate cannabis into their holiday festivities this year! When we look at data from the week leading to Christmas (12/18 - 12/24), total sales were up in both markets in comparison to the previous four weeks. Canada saw a rise in sales of more than 26% while the US saw an of 17%. It is worth noting that the comparison time period includes Thanksgiving weekend, which was a big weekend of sales in the US. This helps explain the relatively smaller levels of growth during the Christmas week. In both markets, Topicals saw the biggest rise in sales during the week leading up to Christmas, with Beverages and Edibles rounding out the top three.
